Daniel Lee Hue is a style and culture writer, PR professional and media relations consultant based in New York City. As a contributor for publications like AskMen and Modern Luxury, Daniel has profiled executives of Black‑owned businesses, featuring stories that amplify Black and brown voices. He also lends his voice to entertainment outlet STYLECASTER, where he’s interviewed notable LGBTQ+ personalities such as Jane Lynch, Jonathan Van Ness, Shaun Ross, Carson Kressley and Willam Belli.
Being Black, Asian and queer, Daniel’s motivation comes from a love of storytelling and a desire to spotlight marginalized voices. When he isn’t writing, you’ll find him transformed into his drag persona Xie Xie (pronounced she‑she) performing across New York City. This Jamaican‑Chinese queen loves fashion and shade in equal measure. His articles have appeared in outlets including Yahoo Lifestyle, the L.A. Times, The Daily Meal and Best Gifts.
Daniel studied communications and political science at Pace University in Manhattan and later worked behind the scenes in PR and entertainment marketing. Now he brings that insider perspective to every story he tells.
